CAS Coaching Disclaimer

Health X Systems LLC d/b/a Health X Institute

Updated October 17, 2026

The Clinical Adherence System (CAS) provides coaching and education to help you put an established healthcare plan into everyday practice. This document explains the service's scope so that you can make an informed choice about participation. It applies to CAS consultations, onboarding, tier programs, CAS Flex, CAS Flex Plus, BSAI reviews, resources, and sponsored coaching.

1 . What CAS provides

Health X Institute (HXI) supports goal setting, behavior change, routine development, problem-solving, accountability, and organization. Your coach may help you identify implementation barriers, prepare questions for healthcare visits, organize information you report, and develop practical strategies to follow instructions established by your licensed healthcare professionals.

Coaching is collaborative. You decide which goals to pursue and which coaching strategies to try. Your circumstances, preferences, resources, and access barriers matter. Participation does not require unquestioning compliance with a healthcare recommendation; concerns and unclear instructions should be taken back to the appropriate licensed professional.

2. What CAS does not provide

CAS does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure disease; prescribe or change medications; determine whether a treatment is medically appropriate; independently interpret symptoms, laboratory findings, or other medical results as a treating clinician; provide psychotherapy; or provide medical nutrition therapy. CAS does not establish medical monitoring thresholds, provide emergency or crisis care, or continuously monitor your health.

Education, worksheets, examples, and coaching discussions are not individualized medical instructions. Do not start, stop, or change a medication, prescribed diet, treatment, or monitoring routine because of a coaching conversation or CAS resource. Discuss these decisions with your prescriber or other appropriate licensed healthcare professional.

3 Medical training and the coaching relationship

Dr. Joyan V. Chicot's medical degree and prior medical training describe educational background. When providing CAS services, the role is that of a coach. The use of “Dr.” or “MD,” and the word “Clinical” in the CAS name, do not establish a physician–patient relationship or represent that medical care is being delivered through CAS. Your treating healthcare professionals remain responsible for clinical assessment and treatment within their own relationships with you.

4 Your healthcare team and provider instructions

Continue appropriate medical, mental-health, nutrition, and other professional care. Tell your healthcare team about new or worsening symptoms, medication concerns, unclear instructions, or changes in your health. Your coach may help you prepare for that conversation but cannot decide its clinical meaning or replace it.

If you share a provider-established plan, HXI may help organize it and support its implementation. If instructions conflict or are unclear, seek clarification from the responsible professional before relying on an interpretation. A coaching summary is an organizational aid based on information available to HXI, not a complete medical record or clinical clearance.

5 Logs and measurements

Symptom, medication, fluid, laboratory, appointment, and monitoring logs organize information you choose to record. HXI does not establish hydration targets, classify a laboratory value as safe, or independently set escalation thresholds. Record dates, units, and the source of instructions when relevant.

Submitting a log, form, or message does not mean it has been reviewed, that someone is watching it in real time, or that an alert will be generated. Follow your healthcare team's instructions and contact appropriate services when needed. Do not wait for a coach to notice a concerning entry.

6 Brain Snacks Adherence Index

The Brain Snacks™ Adherence Index (BSAI) is an HXI coaching measurement framework. Its information may be based on client-reported behavior and therefore remains subject to incomplete recall, missing information, and changes in the plan being followed. Defined periods and transparent calculations can support consistent tracking; they do not establish clinical validation or prove a medical outcome.

BSAI is not a diagnosis, medical-risk score, judgment of personal worth, or basis for changing treatment. It must not be used to infer medical stability, disease control, job fitness, or employment suitability. Only the documented method currently in use may be reported. Under this package, defined medication, lifestyle-plan, and provider-directed monitoring completion rates may be reviewed; awareness remains descriptive and a composite score is not issued while its method is unfinished.

A separate BSAI Client Agreement explains the measurement process before implementation. You may ask questions, correct information, or decline measurement and discuss alternative coaching tools. Older totals based on subjective ratings are not directly comparable to the current behavior-completion method.

7 Risks and participation choices

Coaching may involve reflection on difficult experiences, discomfort when discussing barriers, frustration, or uncertainty during behavior change. Digital participation carries privacy and connectivity risks. Health-related activities may carry physical risks that require advice from a licensed professional, especially when your circumstances or instructions change.

Tell your coach when an activity is uncomfortable or outside your needs. You may decline an exercise, ask for an adjustment, pause a discussion, or end participation subject to the applicable financial terms. A request for licensed care may lead to a referral or pause in coaching. Agreeing to coaching does not waive rights or excuse unlawful conduct by HXI.

8 Emergencies and response limits

CAS is not an emergency service. For an emergency in the United States, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For a mental-health or suicide crisis in the United States, call or text 988; use 911 when immediate emergency assistance is needed. Outside the United States, use the appropriate local emergency or crisis service.

Do not use the portal, email, text, worksheets, appointment requests, or social media for urgent help. Messaging is reviewed only within the service hours and response window stated in your signed service schedule. Premium or priority access does not mean immediate, overnight, on-call, or continuous access.

9 Results and other services

HXI does not guarantee adherence, a particular BSAI change, symptom improvement, medication reduction, weight change, disease control, hospitalization avoidance, financial savings, or any other specific result. Testimonials and examples describe particular experiences and do not predict yours. A referral is a suggestion to seek appropriate expertise, not a guarantee of that provider's services.

10 Scope acknowledgment

Before services begin, you will be asked to confirm that you understand CAS is coaching and education; medical decisions remain with your licensed healthcare team; records and messages are not continuously monitored; outcomes are not guaranteed; and you have had an opportunity to ask questions. Your acknowledgment does not authorize optional information sharing, research, marketing, or recording. Those decisions are handled separately.

11 Brain Snacks Decompression

The 30-minute Brain Snacks Decompression program offers supportive reflection, stress-awareness and nonclinical coaching. It is NOT psychotherapy, counseling by a licensed mental-health professional, psychiatric care, diagnosis, trauma treatment, crisis intervention or medical management. It does not establish a therapist–client relationship.

12 CAS Flex and Flex+

Flex and Flex+ are coaching appointments for the purchased scope only. They do not create medical care, ongoing monitoring, unrestricted access or any tier benefit unless explicitly included.

13 Healthcare visits and family support

Healthcare-visit preparation and post-visit review organize questions and client-reported provider instructions; they do not independently evaluate medical necessity. Family visits include only client-authorized supporters, are not family therapy, and do not authorize unrestricted sharing of records.
